I am an aquatic ecosystem ecologist interested in how interactions among organisms influence ecosystem function. My research investigates factors that drive organic matter decomposition, coupled carbon and nitrogen dynamics, and the role of animals in nutrient cycling. I have worked in a variety of ecosystems, including streams, lakes and water filled tree holes.
